Waterproofing is the ability of a membrane to prevent moisture under hydrostatic pressure to penetrate a surface. Hydrostatic pressure is the primary cause of foundation seepage as water builds up around the exterior of the walls. As this pressure builds, ground water can fill the hollow cells in concrete block foundations and seep through cold joints of poured concrete walls. If downspouts don’t function properly during heavy rain, hydrostatic head can build quickly around the perimeter of the house or business foundation.

Building codes require foundation waterproofing to resist water under hydrostatic head pressure. Hang strength refers to the ability of a spray applied waterproofing membrane to stay on the wall where it’s applied and not run down the wall before curing. Our waterproofing membrane maintains a consistent 40 mils cured thickness across the entire foundation wall delivering outstanding protection over the wall’s entire surface and are designed to span shrinkage cracks up to 1/16” while still maintaining strength and integrity, keeping water from entering your foundation walls.

Foundation Repair & Renovation

For existing structures, AFT Insulation Contractors provides foundation renovation and repair. Identifying any foundation problem early is key in providing a correct and permanent solution. When a structural repair is required, we will assess and correct the conditions that caused the crack before continuing with an epoxy injection. If the crack is damp and cannot be dried out, a moisture tolerant polyurethane is used.
